Make sure your website is indexed in search engines
Google has access to all this incredible data about where people go on the Internet through Chrome and through Android. Users don’t like to wait, and we are becoming more and more accustomed to the fast load times, which means your site will be left in the dust when a user must wait. There are many places across the web where you can build links through submissions, whether it’s submitting your site, a piece of content, or anything else. Links pointing to your site help Google discover new pages on your site. It also, traditionally, is regarded as a signal of popularity. The site linking to your content is essentially telling Google they trust your content. A few years ago, a study found that only 4.8% of searchers make it to the second page of search results. Page 3? Only 1.1%. I suppose that’s why they say the best place to hide a dead body is on page two of Google.
An SEO copywriter should know which search queries are being used
SEO – an acronym that can strike fear into website owners! Why? Because having an attractive website is just a first step. Beauty is, as they say, in the eye of the beholder and your visitors will be looking for an attractive and informative web site. Search Engines, however look for different things. Many marketers are so focused on building out site hierarchy,
wireframing and design of the site that they lose site of content
development. SEO is a huge part of content development, but
when content becomes an afterthought during web redesign,
and the focus is on getting the new site live ASAP, often times
marketers will put the content together without deliberate thought
to keyword inclusion and smart SEO content strategies. The mechanism of a backlink is essentially a vote from another website to yours - a vote that says that your website is authoritative enough or trusted enough to link to. Keywords should never be used to try to trick or mislead human beings or Google spiders.. This means using keywords that do not exactly describe the contents of your page, repeating a keyword over and over in a way that in not natural (known as “keyword stuffing”) or using any other black hat SEO tactics (like keywords in a white font on a white background) are all off limits. People spend very little time engaging with content.
What search terms are your customers using?
Ranking potential is an assessment of where you can realistically hope to get your rankings to; if the top 5 websites have a DA of 90+ and your website is at 20, it is not realistic to think that you will be able to grab one of the top 5 spots in no time. Again this is not always the case, but tends to generally be a safe standard of procedure. Keyword research is the basis of all search marketing. It is the art of explaining what you do in the language that people use, and thus it should probably be the basis of all your marketing activities, both on and off the web. Search Engine Optimization is all about making your website more visible to people who are using search engines to look for your product, brand, or services. Most SEO consultants are looking to build backlinks. Enter one of your keywords into the search box of the search engine of your choice to determine the sites with the top search engine placement for this word. You are aiming for keywords that are frequently used by your target audience, but do not have many competing pages. By regularly auditing your – or your client’s – sites, you can get a good feel for what you still need to do to improve SEO.
Education is the best legacy
We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "Similar to duplicate content, scraped content are parts of your articles that someone pasted into their own. Scrapers will frequently add bits and pieces of content from your pages to the content that is often unrelated to the subject of the original." If you were to build a house and the foundation was in terrible condition, you’d have a lot of issues, regardless of how nice you decorated the interior. The same is true for SEO. You need to have a great foundation on your website. The SERPs will most likely choose to display your meta-description, so it needs to be captivating to encourage people to click through and read your blog. You only have 156 characters to play with, so every word has to count! Search engines reward sites that are user friendly, which means they have high usability. Google favors sites that are not only rich in keywords, but also demonstrate user engagement. Long Tail Keywords are long and very specific keyword phrases that the customer generally uses when he is nearing his purchase stage. Trying to rank for very broad keywords like ‘furniture’, ‘online shopping’ is a very difficult task. In fact if you know how to optimize long tail keywords, you can get good rankings on SERPs. They are less competitive to optimize for.
Don’t Stuff Your Content with Keywords
Earning a link from a high-quality, relevant website will not only help with your SEO but also with referral traffic, which can lead to more sales and brand exposure. Guest posting as a tactic has a dual benefit. First, it helps you reach the target audience of blogs who have similar audiences as yours. Second, it helps you get backlinks to your site so you can drive up your search engine rankings. Head terms are searched more frequently, have less words (3 or less in most cases) and are often much more generic and competitive as a result. Long-tail terms are longer phrases (commonly over 3 words) and more specific. While long-tail keywords are usually less popular, we can usually tell exactly what the searcher is after. ou can optimize the entire technical side of your site and still find it lost on page two or more in Google. SEO isn’t a trick. It isn’t something your web developer can do for you. Keyword selection is the starting point of the small business SEO process. You must choose keywords that are directly relevant to your business, which people are actually searching for, and which aren’t too competitive for your budget. Choose the right keywords – limit yourself to around 5 to start with – and you can get good results on a small budget.
Google processes over 3.5 billion searches per day
Meta search engines are search engines that aggregate results from multiple search engines and present them to the user. The reason that most SEOs don’t know technical SEO is because they don’t spend enough time meeting and talking to web developers. To fully make the most of local SEO, you need to ensure that all of your content is pointing to your target areas. Assessing which keywords to go after first is a crucial second step in your keyword research. This is difficult: not everyone is good at estimating which keywords their site will be able to rank for. A natural link profile has variety. The links come from different domains and links will have different strengths.
