Why is Social Media important for Local Businesses?

While the Meta keyword and Meta description tags aren’t used as a ranking factor, Meta tags do still continue to have a use when it comes to SEO. The Meta keywords tag can be ignored but the Meta description tag should be used to help entice users to click on your page. A good Meta tag should be under 160 characters in length and provide a synopsis of the content on the page. Think of your Meta tag as a short elevator pitch that you can use to drive people to your website. If your site had a stable flow of traffic and then it began to bounce in an instant, it’s obvious something suspicious is going on. Luckily, Google Search Console can help you notice a sudden spike or drop in search traffic so make sure you use it. This is the key to building decent backlinks in order to rank highly in search engines.

It’s a strategic way to inform search engines about the topics you want to serve as an authority, Your customers are online. optimise the pages on that country’s section of your website accordingly. Also,
remember that even a correct and accurate translation of a keyword or term
may not be what people actually use to search for a product or service locally.
You need images not only to improve a user’s experience on your website but also because they have a positive impact on your SEO. It’s not enough to simply have images on a website, though. Gaz Hall, from SEO Hull, had the following to say: " The number of referring individual domains linking to your website or webpage is a very important factor in Google’s algorithm." Keyword cramming is old news and will probably result in a penalty anyway So, don’t do it! Instead, focus on creating real, interesting and valuable content. When a search query is being typed,
the search engine looks in its index,
even while it is being entered, for the
most relevant information and displays
the results in the SERPs. The results are
then sorted by relevance. Search engines have a limited ability to recognize images, animation, video and audio. A greater number of people will stick to voice search, so SEO specialists will have to adjust to this relatively new type of search.

The proliferation of smartphones and tablets mean more and more consumers will be viewing your website on the much smaller screen of a mobile device. For a good user experience, make sure your website is mobile responsive, rendering correctly on a desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone. Most of your link authority is on your homepage, right? So, it makes sense that the more clicks away from your homepage a product page gets, the less authority it has. Location search is growing every year and we are using our mobile phones daily to search for answers and solutions locally to us. Which relevant search terms are most popular? Many companies err by assuming a particular term is popular. They put all of their efforts into being number one for a term few people care about—an enormous waste of SEO resources. Once you have completed your initial keyword research, review your keywords to identify which are most relevant for your business and which have the highest volume. When launching a new website that replaces a previous version, use 301 Redirects to tell the search engines that your pages have moved. Doing so will retain your hard-earned Google Page Rank and your search engine positioning should stay more or less intact. If you do not use 301 Redirects when launching a new/replacement site, search engines will still have your old pages contained in their index, and both search engines and visitors seeking out your content will encounter broken pages when they try to visit your site. This will result in lots of 404 Page Not Found errors. When this happens, your search engine rankings will most likely drop. Since Google only wants to deliver the best possible results to its users, it will push sites with strong engagement up in the search engine results pages (SERPs).
