Why Not Try It Out?

Is your product / service trending and generate searches in the new market(s) you want to go to? Do a keyword research around the main terms for your business in the local language using Google Keyword Planner and analyse the main ones in Google trends. There’s no getting around it. Keyword research is a vitally important aspect of your search engine optimization campaign. Keep track of how many times your past keywords have yielded expected results. Use the right tools to track where you rank for the keywords you target. Faked and manipulated website content (even backlinks) can actually harm a website’s SEO. For this reason, creating newsworthy content that inspires viral sharing and natural linking is the best way to ensure valuable SEO-rich backlinks. Paying people to link to your site won’t pay off in the long run, and could seriously damage your search rankings. In addition to storing the content of each page, Google also stores how its crawlers arrived on the page. In other words, it remembers the pages and websites that were linking to it. A link from one site to another is like a vote or endorsement for the credibility of the second website.

Which principles should SEO copywriters never neglect?

Timely topics are seasonal (like holiday recipes) or more focused on current events or news coverage. Timely topics have a much shorter lifespan, but can drive large bursts of traffic if done well. Even though it seems logical, initially, to strive for a ranking using high-traffic keywords and terms, this will most likely result in a lot of frustration and wasted resources. Moreover, the traffic that you will get from a highly competitive keyword, will probably be of poor quality. If everybody is linking people from their sites to yours, your site must thus offer top quality information worthy of a link. Therefore, Google and search engines alike bump these backlink-wealthy sites nearer the top of their pages in order to ensure people are finding the best sites for the information they require. Measure and monitor what is working and update your strategy on the fly. Any SEO pro will tell you that every day brings something new in the world of search engine optimization. While we spend our careers focused on the next big trends in search engines, as a business owner that’s not always in your best interest. Spending time chasing a tiny SEO detail instead of conducting a full-scale SEO website review can take valuable resources away from more important parts of your business.

Google and the rest of the search engines rank webpages, not websites

By using internal linking strategically, you can boost the ranking of other pages on your website. Say you have a popular page that is ranking highly in Google and receiving a lot of traffic. By strategically placing a link on that page to another on your site that you want to rank, you can pass “authority” to that page. SEO is the process of implementing strategies and techniques (both on site and off site) in an effort to achieve a higher rank in search results. Typically, the higher a site is in search results, the more visitors it receives. Take an aspect of your niche that people find difficult and create the most comprehensive tutorial there is on the subject. Most SEO consults cover a local area. As recommendations from peers become more prominent online, the influence they levy will weigh more heavily into activity on search and social sites combined. For this reason, it’s wise to start thinking of your company or organization’s fans as extensions of your inbound marketing team. The Internet is all about trends — what works phenomenally well to improve SEO one year, might fall flat the next. SEO isn’t a one-and-done type deal. It requires constant updating, tweaking, experimenting and testing. And with SEO being one of the highest returning investments you’ll make for your website, you’ll want to constantly measure its success to maintain powerful results.

Use heading tags to break up large passages of text

Gaz Hall, a SEO Expert from the UK, said: "The small businesses with a physical place of business would do well to invest in local SEO, online public relations and branding, optimizing for mobile and experimenting with Google AdWords." Cross linking is a great technique to get a better user experience. This can be an added advantage to you, if you have sites related to it. The more inbound links you have, the better it is. Cross links also helps in improving your rank in search engines . Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is another important strategy that helps grow your website traffic. The number of backlinks you have on your website plays a crucial role when it comes to ranking your blog on Google. Since the advent of Panda and Hummingbird, LSI is becoming increasingly important in SEO as it’s used by Google to determine between ‘keyword stuffed’ articles and genuinely relevant content. Over the years, Google has continued to improve their link algorithms, including Penguin, and they continued to use manual penalties to crack down on link schemes as well.

Be adaptable and recognise that times change and SEO trends evolve

User-generated content (UGC) sites and communities are two of my favourite places to find untapped keywords. Not every link is created equal. Every site has links that are less important or link to pages that don’t change (e.g., a site map or your About Me page). Use the NoFollow tag for those links. In addition to low priority links, Google suggests using the NoFollow tag for untrusted content and paid links. If you have text link ads on your site, make sure they’re tagged as NoFollow. User experience improves with original content, quick page loading, pages that fulfill their promise and easy site navigation. Authority enhances a site’s longevity, and the quality of its backlinks plays a major role in this. If you are linking to good sites, and they are linking to you, then you gain authority. Authority sites also get indexed quicker and deeper. Remember, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to optimization strategies. For the most part, you’ll be relying on trial and error to pinpoint what works and what doesn’t for your brand. The primary goals of most SEO practitioners are to increase rank in the SERP and drive traffic, but they are not going far enough.

Increase Organic Traffic

Similar to duplicate content, scraped content are parts of your articles that someone pasted into their own. Scrapers will frequently add bits and pieces of content from your pages to the content that is often unrelated to the subject of the original. Repeatedly building over-optimized, spammy backlinks overtime will lead to a penalty. A general rule to follow when creating your new URLs: use dashes (-) between words instead of underscores (_). Google treats dashes as separators, which means it can return results when you search for a single word that appears in a URL and when you search for a group of words that appears in a URL. In contrast, Google treats underscores as connectors, which means it will only return results when you search for a group of connected words that appears in a URL. The bottom line: using dashes creates more opportunities for your pages to be discovered. It doesn’t take hundreds to see the needle move, especially with Google’s ever-improving ability to detect low quality and manipulative links. Guest posting as a tactic has a dual benefit. First, it helps you reach the target audience of blogs who have similar audiences as yours. Second, it helps you get backlinks to your site so you can drive up your search engine rankings.
