Whether it is writing the most useful article about a certain topic, or ensuring that your eCommerce system is easy to use, it is important to make sure site visitors have a positive experience, because only then will they stick around. SEO is something that is constantly evolving and changing. Invest time and efforts into guest blogging as well while maintaining an active blog on your site. Choose relevant, popular websites for your guest posts and embed intelligent links in your article. Initially, add one backlink per post that adds value to the content and is pertinent to the underlying theme. However, once you have developed a rapport with the host website, they might be willing to include more than one link per post. Links are integral for connecting each piece of content, ultimately leading to a potential sale. Googlebot and other web crawlers follow the links that they find on web pages. If Googlebot finds new links on a page, they will be added to the list of pages that will be visited next. If a link does not work anymore, or if there is new content on a web page, Google will update the index.

Google is getting smarter – to the point of becoming an AI with a LOT of personal information about its uses. Google is increasingly understanding what content actually means, rather than just what it says You should not try to‘trick’ Google. Finding that people from an unexpected search term are converting more highly than those from other search terms? Then it might be time to switch gear and start trying to rank for that phrase instead! There are plenty of rabbit holes to fall into when it comes to Google algorithm updates. Both Search Console and Google Analytics have a huge range of features to help you sift through your website data and figure out how your site is performing, and you’ll find a variety of resources online, particularly from Google, to help you unlock their valuable features. Titles display what your page is about to both visitors and search engine crawlers, while meta descriptions summarize the content of your page. Your title tags and meta descriptions must include the keywords you are trying to rank for.
How are you supposed to audit your website?
Domain Authority is a score (on a 100-point scale) developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engines. We like to use Domain Authority when comparing one site to another or tracking the “strength” of your website over time. When selecting keywords, you should also keep the purpose
of your website in mind. Opt for transactional keywords if
the main intention is sales, or informational keywords if your
website aims to provide readers with important information. Other best practices that we have in SEO are things where we will take a keyword and will essentially just make our keyword research very limited to the ones that have produced high returns. One way to approach SEO is to write catchy headlines. Posting regular content is key to building trust with search engines and your customers alike. A posting schedule is easier to stick to when you’re writing regular content. Most modern SEO agencies will continue to proclaim that "content is king" (and in my opinion, it truly is). But being king is nothing without a kingdom. Like a tree falling with nobody around to hear it, good content with nobody around to read it is useless.
What does your audience expect from you?
Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant, commented: "Exact match Domains (EMD) " Spend some time to get to know the people
who consistently share your content. Pull together a list of contacts
with more than a thousand followers and a history of engagement in
your content. Knowing your social media influencers will help you
expand your reach online and ultimately increase the rate at which
your content gets found online. For a search engine to be able to display relevant results
when a user makes a search query, there has to be an
archive of available information for it to select from. This
archive is called an index. Every search engine has its own
methods for gathering and prioritizing content from websites.
Whatever the specific tactics or methods used, this process
is known as indexing. Indeed, search engines attempt to scan
and index the entire online universe. By doing so they can
show you the relevant information when you search for it. Don't forget that search/internet marketing is multi-faceted. Traditional Marketing 101 teachers would say to build a comprehensive plan for marketing. Don't just work the online factors, but create a sound strategy around offline marketing, using ideas like postcards, trade magazines ads, phone/sales work, word of mouth and additional tactics that can help create a "buzz" around your products and services. Search engines want publishers to show the same content to the search engine as is shown to users
Enhance your CTR and user experience
The searches that people make online are related to certain words or phrases. Because you want your webpage to be the answer or solution to their search query, your page needs to be built with this phrase or word in mind. Great content marketing is essentially the bait you put on the end of your hook to attract the fishes. And SEO, in this analogy, is the fishing rod. SEO and Content Marketing work together to not only reel in your audience, but also keep them revisiting your page and engaging with your website (all good stuff). Hopefully your website is laid out in a way that allows users to easily find the content or pages that you want to promote. The user’s keywords are typically shown in boldface when they appear in the search results (sometimes close synonyms are shown in boldface as well). A large part of the search engine optimization process starts with focus: what is your website about? You have to focus on what we sometimes call ‘top tasks’.
Track organic traffic and your website inbound links
Many business owners create a website and find that they are receiving international inquiries about their services, or receiving orders from other countries. Although they expected their market would be local, or at best national. User experience is critical to SEO, so it may be a good idea to test how it affects the traffic to your site. Internal linking is the process of linking one page to another on your site. This is done in a few ways including your navigation menu, sidebar links, and links inside page content to other pages on your site. Whether or not a website gets to top ranking positions depends on how unique its content is and how much added value it provides users. Think of Amazon. They probably have a few best-selling products, but the majority of their retail revenue comes from a wide variety of things that aren’t bought anywhere nearly as often as their best-selling products. Similarly, if we were to rank the popularity of the songs played in the last 10 years, there would be a few hits that would garner the majority of plays, and an enormous number of songs that have only a few plays. Those less popular products and songs are what we call the long tail.
